Lastel Hotels, Lodging For Bodies

Who says the hotel is only for those who are dead? proof of a hotel in Japan was established specifically for the corpse. Here, they were laid while waiting for their turn to do the cremation process.

Density of activity in a crematorium in Japan make the family the body had to wait their turn to do the cremation process. While waiting their turn, families can 'leave' the corpse at the Hotel Lastel which was built as a temporary lodging place for the corpse in Yokohama, Japan.

Hotel called Lastel is located near the port city of Yokohama. From the outside it does look like a typical hotel, so it often makes young couples who want to stay fooled. When entered into, the visitors can see the ranks of a small room containing the coffin cold.

There are about 40 rooms with services like hotel in general. Prices for rooms per night set at 12,000 yen or about US$ 100. The owner, Hisayoshi Teramura, said his business is thriving. Not least because the number of deaths increased each year in Japan.(Foto: REUTERS/ Yuriko Nakao)
